Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire is a beautiful village in Lake County, Illinois.  As part of the Vernon Township, Lincolnshire is considered a suburb of bustling Chicago.  It is located just next to Cook County, and is known for affluent living at its best.

When citizens were recently surveyed about the benefits of Lincolnshire living, many commented on the beautiful trees and wooded lots.  Many homes have a story book feel as they are tucked under canopies of large trees, or surrounded by small areas of forestry.

Residents also bragged about the excellent school systems and the peaceful, quiet lifestyle that is unique to Lincolnshire.  There is a lot of natural beauty in the numerous village parks.  Forty acres in Lincolnshire are set apart as part of the Illinois Nature Preserve.  This Florsheim Nature Presere is intertwined with gorgeous pedestrian paths and interpretive signs to help residents recognize the various trees and wildlife.

Lincolnshire is also home to the famous Marriott Resort.  The resort draws in thousands of visitors every year, many conducting business in neighboring Chicago.  The Marriott Resort sits on 175 acres of gorgeous forests and wildlife, with abundant recreation opportunities.  Visitors will enjoy the George Fazio PGA golf course on campus, as well as a tennis center, various pools, and dining opportunities.  The resort is just minutes from downtown Chicago or the O’Hare Airport.

The Marriott Theatre is one of the many amenities in Lincolnshire.  Located within the Resort, the theatre presents live musical productions throughout the year.  Some favorite shows include “Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat”, “My Fair Lady”, and the infamous “Hair Spray”.  Lincolnshire families frequently take advantage of the theatre’s many shows, and then grab some dinner at a neighboring restaurant.  Favorite area restaurants include Wildfire Steakhouse, Walker Brothers Pancake House, and the Flatlander Restaurant and Brewery.

Lincolnshire is constantly abuzz with activity, especially in the summer months.  City Park and Village Green host summer concerts each year.  The village’s annual summer Art Festival also draws crowds from all over Illinois.  The most popular event is always The Taste of Lincolnshire, a festival held in July to showcase the area’s top dining opportunities.

Lincolnshire homeowners enjoy the luxury of suburban living with only a short drive to Chicago’s many business venues.  The real estate in Lincolnshire draws many new home buyers each year, as the gorgeous landscape sets the village apart from the many other villages in Illinois.
